If you are looking for a boat made in the USA, this is not your brand. The Fairline Yachts are a British luxury boat company. And although the boats tend to make their way to the Florida International boat show, you may be hard-pressed to find them in abundance stateside. In fact, there are only 4 dealerships in North America. These are Fairline Florida, Fairline Mexico, Fairline Great Lakes, Fairline Chesapeake, and Fairline New York.

Fairline Florida is in Fort Lauderdale and is a part department, service department, technical support, and brokerage. They are not a production facility.

What is the difference between the Targa and the Squadron?

Targa boats are express cruisers and are more focused to the power and performance then to the elegance and luxury. Although both brands do put such at the forefront of the company, the Squadron is more geared to the flybridge range of Yachts and the elegance and performance. Additionally, the Squadrons have the capacity for the living spaces and are the only line offered by the company to offer the 78’ Yacht.

Fairline Motor Yachts are powered by Volvo Penta or Caterpillar inboard engines. Depending upon the packaging and the size of the Yacht, this could be a Volvo Penta IPS600 D6-435 Diesel, Volvo Penta IPS700 DB-550 or (as in the Squadron 78 Custom) Twin MAN 1360 CRM Shaft Drive diesel engines.

Where can I find Fairline Motor Yachts for sale?

As there are only a few dealerships in North America, it may be a bit difficult to acquire a Fairline from such a business. You could go to one of the international boat shows and place an order, but this too presents a problem as you would have to wait for the boat to be manufactured in Britian and sent to one of the locations in the US.
