Sea Vee is continuously seeking to push the proverbial envelope in innovation and engineering. Since its beginnings, the company has been experimenting with options that other boat brands have not. For example, in the 1970s Sea Vee was the first of its kind to put a motor below the Center Console of their vessels, thus allowing the boat to have the same power of an inboard engine on an outboard motor. Other experimental motor options have included jet propulsion and Diesel Power IPS drivers.

Customizations

All Sea Vee boats are built to order, meaning that you will not have two Sea Vee boats which are exactly alike. Every SeaVee is built to buyer specifications and the models and packaging are reviewed multiple times prior to being approved for turn-over to the client.

When not fully customized, the boat building process follows a six-step process. Firstly, the boat specs are delivered to the manufacturing division, then the lamination of the Sea Vee takes place. Generally, this is a ten-day turn-around on the molding. Once the lamination and the hull creation are completed the rigging is added followed by a Quality control (done twice during the process). The final step is a Sea Trial to check for leaks and optimized performance on the vessel.

Sea Vee boats, though customizable and built to the buyer’s specifications, start with a general base model. These models are divided into Bay Boats, Center Consoles (CCs), Fish-Around, and Sport-Express. The models offered are as follows:

Where is the best place to use Sea Vee boats?

SeaVee boats are specifically designed for angler purposes, and thereby are most adequately used in the Atlantic Ocean or in deep Gulf fishing. True, you can use the smaller bay boat for freshwater fishing, but this is not the primary focus of the company. The boats are designed with baitwells, fish lockers, tackle boxes, prep areas, under deck storage, rod holders, and rocket rod holders with the presumption that the owner will use the boat for either extended off shore adventures or as a charter vessel. Sea vee boats are not designed for Water Sports, and the tri to quad configuration on the back end would limit the ability to convert the crafts over to such safely. Additionally, the design, primarily the bow casting deck, the two-tier hardtop on the sport-express, and the high gunwales make this more of an offshoring fishing boat than anything else.
