About Sea Vee Center Consoles

Boats focused for performance and speed

Center Consoles are the most popular boats on the market. Sea Vee center consoles are offered in Deep-V-Hull Classic Sea Vee and Z Stands for Performance boats. The center console boats from the company are known for fishing. They are also one of the most endurable boats on the market. What makes this brand so popular is the various models and the size of the vessels for the everyday man/woman. If you are looking for Center Console here are some things about Sea Vee that you should know.

The Models

There are two basic selections which are offered for the center consoles. Under the Deep-V Hull you have the 290, 320, 340, 390.  On these boats the console is located centrally but also more to the stern of the boat, as the bow of the ship is more designed for the casting deck then for the leisure lounge. From the Z Stands 320Z, 340Z, 370Z,  and 390Z are available. The main difference between the two is not the size but rather the hull design and the power.

Deep V-Hull Classic Sea Vee

The Deep V design is intended to cut through the water and to allow the boat to bank and turn without any compromise to the navigation of the vessel. On the Deep V Hulls the deadrise is around 25 degrees. Draft varies but starts on the 290 model at 20”. On the 390 there are different power options which in turn effects the deadrise. The configurations of the 390 are either a triple 350 or a quad configuration (300 and 350HP is available).

SeaVee Z models

Differing from the Deep V is the SeaVee models. These are specifically designed for a faster more fuel-efficient ride. The boats start at 32’ and go to the 39-foot range. Typically, the boats have a hardtop on the center console. Buyers should be aware that the hull rest higher in the water than the deep V design. To accommodate the various aspects of the sea and the gulf the Sea Vee Center Console boats for sale have an efficient RPM range and cored hull.

What to expect with your center console?

Regardless of the model that you choose, there are a few things that you should expect from a Sea Vee Center Console boat for sale. The first is that the boat will be equipped with a 360 configuration of rod holders. Expect a minimum of eight around the hull, possibly more dependent upon the packaging. The Hardtop of the CC will have rocket holders. The console itself will in most cases be a two panel touch screen configuration. Electronic equipment will vary depending on the packaging, but purchasers should note that the controls are more apt for standing navigation than for sitting. There is a bench style captain’s chair on the console.

Since the boats are made for both fishing as well as entertainment and leisure, expect to find ample under deck storage space as well as an optimization of the space on the port and the starboard. The front facing seats on the bow may have storage, extra live wells can be added, etc.
