- Added Equipment – Any equipment that was not added to the vessel by Hydra Sports is not covered within the warranty and is the sole responsibility of the boat owner.
- Cosmetics – Damage can happen to the upholstery of the interior of the vessel from wear and tear and improper storage. The warranty does not cover cracking, flaking, fading, or oxidation. This also includes the gel coating of the hull of the vessel.
- Broken Windshield – Accidents happen, but a broken or cracked windshield is not covered by the guarantee.
- Other Dealers – Purchasing a Hydra Sports boat from a dealer that is not authorized by the company will void any warranty on the boat.
- Abuse and Misuse – Abusing the standard use for any Hydra Sports vessel will certainly void the warranty. Misuse includes improper rigging, and installation by the owner of any additional feature to the boat.
- Improper Storage – How to store and maintain the boat properly is laid out within the handbook of any model. Failure to store the vessel properly and improper use of the trailer that results in damage is an exclusion. As is any damage to any part of the trailer including tail lights, tires, batteries, and finishes.
- Improper Supports – Failure to secure the boat trailer leading to damage to the vessel is an exclusion as well.
- Non-Factory Alterations – It is a common practice to add additional equipment to a boat, but by doing this, you can void the warranty if damage occurs to the vessel. Any hull alterations that impact the structure of the vessel are not the responsibility of Hydra Sports.
- Non–Personal Use – The Hydra Sports brand is primarily used for personal boating, so any use such as military, commercial, or for profit use of the vessel will void the warranty.
- Speed Related Failures – Any damage that occurs while speeding above the recommended speed of the vessel.
- Act of Nature – Sometimes accidents are due to the simple act of nature or God, so any form of damage such as this should be covered by the owner’s insurance on the vessel, not Hydra Sports.
- Repairs from Unauthorized Dealer – All repairs should come directly from an authorized dealer resource.
- Coverage Limits – Items for repair should not exceed the total cost of the boat.
- Redesign – Apart from the standard recalls outlined in the owner’s manual that can occur, Hydra Sports is not required to redesign the boat.
Other Restrictions
Hydra Sports sells all of their boats with the optional warranty and some of the limitations are not outlined in the above list, but the company maintains the ability to reformat the rules for the warranty at their discretion and all repairs should take place within one year of the damage as laid out in the statute of limitations of the company.
