SeaHunter Tournament Boats
Angler Boats for the extreme fisherman
When one looks to Gulf fishing, then the brand SeaHunter is usually one of the manufacturers which is mentioned. The brand which has already proven the durability of the craft by having a 20 foot drop as well as cutting one of their own vessels in half, caters to the fisherman in their SeaHunter Tournament boats. If you are looking for an angler boat but do not wish to pay the price of a new SeaHunter boat for sale, then preowned SeaHunter Tournament boats on Vessel Vendor may be the right choice for you.
Motor
SeaHunter Tournament boats are equipped with the standard Yamaha motors. The SeaHunter 31 Tournament boat tends to have twins or triple outboard motor options driving up the MPH of the boat. Some previously owned craft may have a trip outboard or may choose to use the Mercury black engines (which are also fairly standard on boats for sale in Florida). Should your motor be a post-market additive, check with the owner to see if there is a transferable warranty on the craft.
Features
SeaHunter Tournament boats for sale are equipped with an angled control center, most of which have a two touch LED screen. Some of the larger models have opted to use three screen and incorporated the Fish Navigators. The helm of the boat does tend to be on a somewhat flat surface as opposed to other craft which have the helm perpendicular with the deck, the helm is horizontal, which would be a bit offsetting to those who are accustomed to such.
At the transom of the boat, there are two live bait wells and an inward swinging access door. Depending upon the SeaHunter boat model that you choose as well as the additive features, you may find that the owner has opted to have a fold down seat on the transom bait wells. This is not a standard feature, so those that find such should take note.
As with most center console, rod holders as well as rocket rod holder on the hardtops are standard. Front facing console seat are standard. Note that all of the tournament boats do not have hardtops, such as the SeaHunter 24’ Bay. Also, there is not a standard color for the hull, although blue, black and white are the most popular choices.
Models
As stated, the SeaHunter Tournament boats tend to run in the mid 30 to higher 40 foot range. They are not intended for going into the shallow waters, but are more equipped for deep sea or for deep Gulf water fishing. The models which are offered in the tournament series include the SeaHunter Tournament 45, as well as the SeaHunter Tournament 41, SeaHunter Tournament 39, SeaHunter Tournament 37, SeaHunter Tournament 35, SeaHunter Tournament 33, SeaHunter Tournament 32, and SeaHunter Tournament 31 boat. And while the names would lend you to believe that the hulls and the design of these craft are only changed by the length, there are some substantial differences between the beam, deep, and walkaround space.
In addition to the SeaHunter Tournament Series, there is a SeaHunter 28 Floridan and a SeaHunter 24 Bay. These may be able to go into the lakes and the ponds. However, it should be noted that there are restrictions to the power, speed, and type of craft which can legally be operated in some areas. Check with local boating and zoning regulations for details.
