Pinetta is a small town located just south of the Georgia border. It is one of the first locations that you will find if taking 145 from Valdosta, Ga. Where to fish near Pinetta

Cherry Lake is the closest location to Pinetta Florida. Cherry lake offers a few different locations to put your boat in. While Cherry Lake is a small body of water, there are several smaller bodies which are collectively referred to as part of it. Additionally, there is Garden Pond, Blair Pond, Peeler Pond, Elbow Pond, Hankins Sink Pond, Mays pond, Sampala Lake, Rachel Lake, Water Pond, and Wood Pond. In totality there are 50 ponds, lakes, and streams in Madison County in which to fish.

Fish in the Pinetta area include perch, black bass, smallmouth bass, bream, and Bluegill. Those which wish to get larger fish should take their boat to the Gulf as it is the closest deep water location to Pinetta.

Boats for Fishing

Should you wish to purchase a boat for sale in Pinetta to fish, it would be best to seek a flat bottom boat or a Skiff. Most of the waters in Pinetta or near the town are shallow fishing waters, so deep sitting boats may not be the best option. To access the gulf from Pinetta, you can go through Madison and get on 10 (you can also access the Atlantic in this way). The closest beach would be Dekle Beach and Keaton Beach, though you could go west and access Oyster Bay, Ochlocknee Bay Alligator Harbor, or even go so far as Panama City Beach or Fort Walton. To the south access through the Suwanee river is available, which will put you out around Sander’s Creek. This is quite a boat trip, so be aware that it would be best to access the Gulf over several days if taking this course.

Boats for sale in Pinetta may offer the larger Gulf fishing boats such as a HydraSport boats. Those who wish to have a leisure or a cruise craft may be best looking in nearby Tallahassee Florida.

Docking and Storage

As Pinetta is not located on the Gulf or on the Atlantic, finding docking and storage for your boat may be a bit problematic. Again, if you are wishing to fish in the Cherry Lake or the surrounding bodies of water, then you would be best to seek a smaller 20 or 25 foot boat for sale or Skiffs for sale that you can easily tow and store in your garage. Seasonal Gulf fishermen/women will need to find a harbor to keep their larger boats. Being as the town is located near two large state parks, it may be best to dock the boat in another city on the coast.
