For such a large mega yacht like the Oyster 118, you would think that there would be room for an endless number of family and friends, but the truth is that the design remains intimate with 5 staterooms with the ability to sleep up to 12 people. There is an additional area for up to 6 crew members. The layout is available to be customized to the specifications of the individual customer, so in the vent that you do not require that many crew members and would like to afford more space to your guests, that is a possibility. Each Oyster 118 is a singular work of art and there are currently only two in production, but you will not see either of these vessels outside of the build yard until spring of 2018.
Innovative Features
Even with the most sophisticated yacht designs on the market, sometimes, life on a yacht as large as the Oyster 118 can feel a little stuffy. When in high heat climates, the air conditioning system cannot always keep up with the demand. The designers of this larger than life yacht chose to integrate a forced air ventilation system to help alleviate the stress on the standard air conditioning system. Additional Upgrades for the systems onboard the Oyster 118 allow for an integrated fire constrained system within the galley area. It is not likely the system will every have to be used, but it is a nice touch to know that in the event of a fire, the galley is likely the only area that will sustain any damage.
A Shady Exterior
On a standard sailboat style yacht, there is little room for any top to offer shade to you and your guests. However, a top is an innovative feature that has become available for the Oyster 118. The Bimini top gives your guests a place to relax while in port or while out at sea without the sun becoming too much and having to resort below. Throughout the layout of the Oyster 118, you will notice an emphasis on seating areas as well. There is an expansive seating area beneath the Bimini top as well as at the bow of the main deck of the yacht. The Oyster 118 is the perfect vessel for entertaining large groups or just a jaunt out into the ocean with family and friends.
