Established in 1894, Sneads Florida is a small community of about 4.5 miles resting on the Northern border of Florida. While Lake Seminole is the primary spot for boating in Sneads, there are other locations nearby for the angler. Ocheesee Pond and a few ponds near Shady Grove. Once you get outside of Gadsden County, there is really nothing, Waterwise, until you reach either Apalachicola National Forest or the Panama City Beach area.

As Lake Seminole is a larger lake and you have a bit more freedom with the navigation, you could choose a 2 or even a 3 engine configuration on your outboard boat. However, in most cases, a one to 2 engine configuration will be sufficient, especially if you are powering a stepped hull of less than 24’. 150HP to 250HP single engines will be the most popular selections, with the occasional 300 to the 350HP single engine. Ensure that the power and the Hull are appropriate for each other.
