Common Features
While there are fundamental differences between the L Series and the SDX series, there are a few features which are common in most of the models. First, the beams are generally around 8’4” until you get to the larger boats where the beam gets to 17’2 (L Class). Regardless of the beam, you will find that all of the Sea Ray boats have a bow with wrap around seating, ample space on the stern for seating with many models having transom seating. Consoles tend to have an angled wrap around. On the SPX models you do have the dual console design and, but the windshield remains consistent with the single pieces even though there is access to the bow (and thereby a door access on the windshield).
Where is the best place to use a Sea Ray?
Due to the diversity in the size of the boats as well as the definitive packaging available to make the boat suited to the family’s personality, the boat is suited for both freshwater and for saltwater, for inshore as well as offshore experiences. This brand presents the most versatility in their brand than other competitors on the market. Check with local boating and zoning for details about which outboards can be used in certain Florida waters.
