An interchangeable name

While Deep Impact and Blackwater boats are technically two different brands, the boat companies are owned by the same president, and they are manufactured in the same factory located in Miami, FL.  Even the websites have the same information regarding the craftsmanship and features of the boats. The main difference between the two brands is that Deep Impact is more oriented to the luxurious Sport Cabin or custom cruising boat whereas the Blackwater boats are oriented to the fisherman. However, these boats are not within the same genre as the others as they are Speedboats.

Buyers should be aware that since the boats are manufactured at the same factory, that the president is the same for all the subsidiary companies, and that the building process is generally the same for the three brands, that you are not paying for the Deep Impact brand, but rather for the quality and craftsmanship. Hand-built boats

All of the Deep Impact boats for sale are hand fabricated one piece at a time. This does not mean that every piece is made by hand, but rather that there are no machines involved in the assembly of the craft. Being so, boat buyers should note that those who fabricate the boats are specialists within their area. For example, Deep Impact performance engines have a team of engine installers who have rigged champion racing boats.

The main reason that Deep Impact has hand fabrication is due to their push for customizable center consoles. Materials and sizes can be altered to “countless combinations of possible deck layouts and color options”.

Models

Deep Impact Custom Boats are defined by their color accented sides, tops and trims, and white decks and cabins. While this is the standard, the company does offer customization of colors and combination. While customizations of Deep Impact Boats are encouraged by the company, they do offer 8 stock models. These models include the 399 Sport, 399 Cabin, 399 TE, 399 Poker Run Edition, 360 Sport, 360 Cabin, 360 TE, and the 330 TE. Out of these models, the Sport has the most power with four 400HP engines while the TE series has the least power with only 2. The TE boats are typically shorter than the other models. Materials

Deep Impact hulls are reinforced with resin-infused coring (Mantex and Divinicel). Most of the boats are equipped with Mercury engines giving speeds of up to 100 mps, though typically you will only get about 70 at max. Cabins are double stitched, but again this is customizable. In 2013 the company started to use a resin infuse system for all fiberglass components. Boats manufactured prior to 2013 will be a bit heavier and slower than the 399 series boats or those manufactured since.

Best Use

Deep impact boats are best suited for recreational purposes and leisure apart from the TE series which is primarily for fishing. As such the boats tend to be oriented to deeper water use. You could use the TE manufacturers’ boats for sale for gulf fishing as is its purposes, but again, these crafts are more for deep-sea fishing and for deepwater activities.

Getting a Deep Impact Custom boat

As the boats are hand manufactured, it is rather costly and rather hard to get into the queue for a new boat. Contacting the company directly can also prove to be a challenge as you have to remember that there are 3 different boat brands that are being handled by one company. Unless you are seeking a brand new customized boat, the best solution is to find a used Deep Impact boat for sale or a Blackwater boat.
