The General Design

On the other hand, the size and the trailering/launching of a center console, cabin cruiser, or a powerboat in freshwater could be problematic. The all-purpose boats allow for the power and speeds of the freshwater boats, but give the stability and the control of the larger offshore boats. And since it can handle both the fresh and the salt water options, the boat is as it claims, all-purpose.

Please note that as the average LOA for an all-purpose is only 15 to 20’ they are not intended for multiple day offshore fishing adventures.
